What makes a useful produce quotation request?

Discuss your destination, grade and packing requirements with us.

A clear brief helps us assess suitable supply and prepare a quotation around your actual requirements. Start with the essentials, then add the details that matter to your market.

01

Define the product and quantity

State the product, variety where relevant, and required quantity with its unit. Specify whether you are seeking a trial shipment or regular supply. If a specification is flexible, say so rather than leaving the field ambiguous.

02

Describe the packing you need

Include preferred pack type, net weight, size or grade, and any labelling requirements. Attach an existing specification sheet if available. We assess proposed formats against the product and partner capability before confirming them.

03

Name the destination and timing

Give the destination country and port or delivery location, plus your required arrival period. If you have a preferred delivery term, include it with the named place and applicable version. Otherwise, ask to discuss the options.

04

Compare quotations on the same basis

Check that product specification, quantity, packing and included services match before comparing prices. ICC explains that Incoterms® rules allocate delivery tasks, costs and risks between seller and buyer. Agree the relevant term and responsibilities clearly; a headline price alone is not a complete quotation.
