A useful sourcing calendar connects indicative seasons with a specific buying requirement. This guide explains how to turn that first window into a conversation about an order.
Start with your delivery window
Tell us when produce needs to arrive at the named destination, rather than giving only a preferred harvest month. Include the quantity and whether you need one shipment or a repeat programme.
Use seasonality as a starting point
Our calendar shows indicative sourcing windows, not reserved stock. An unmarked month may reflect an unverified reference rather than a confirmed absence of supply. Confirm the product and delivery period with us before making a commitment.
Separate the crop from the specification
Name the variety, size or grade and intended use. A product being in season does not confirm that every requested specification or packing format is available. Share your requirements early so they can be assessed together.
Confirm the complete plan
Before agreeing an order, request confirmation of availability, packing, dispatch timing, destination and supporting documents. Keep harvest, dispatch and arrival dates distinct in the buying brief. Update the plan whenever the agreed requirements change.
